Tonga has one month to decide whether or not they'll be hosting the 2019 Pacific Games.
The Pacific Games Council says they still want Tonga to go ahead with hosting.
The Council's CEO Andrew Minogue, says they think Tonga can and should host the Games.
"We're prepared to keep the door open for another month and I think all the energies need to be directed at the Tongan government to change it's mind."
Tahiti, Samoa, Papua New Guinea and Fiji have all expressed an interest in hosting the games once Tonga's withdrawal has been confirmed.
However, Minogue says the Council is focusing on helping Tonga proceed with hosting the Games.
